My princess is now 1....

Ansley's 1st Birthday

I cannot believe our little girl is 1. We got the call on September 16, 2008 that a baby girl had been born 2 days prior and wanted to know if we were interested. We said "DEFINITELY". We had NO idea that we would adopt the most precious, sweet, adorable, loving and beautiful baby in the whole world. She has been such a blessing to our family. Her smile and laugh lights up any room.

Ansley's best friend is her big brother Braden. She is absolutely in love with him. They already have such a special bond that makes my heart melt everytime I see them together. Braden can make her laugh harder than anybody else.

I never thought I could love another child as much as I love Braden but Ansley has definitely proven me wrong. She amazes me everyday at the things she learns and the way she makes everyone so happy. She will stare someone down until they smile at her and then she will give the biggest smile ever. She is such a people person and can make a new friend wherever she goes.

She is about to start walking anyday now. She can take 5-6 steps on her own but will fall down after that. She needs to build confidence more than anything. Once she figures out she can walk...she will be off to the races. She stood up this morning and started to run. She only ran a few steps but it shows me she has the balance to walk.

Ansley, we love you more and more each day and we are so proud of you. We look forward to seeing what the future holds for you because the skys the limit for you. Thank you sweet girl for all the joy and happiness you bring to us.
