a day at berry patch farms

october 2009

we have been going to berry patch farms for 4 years nows. it is a fun tradition for our family (and great since it is only 2 miles from our house). this year was extra special to see braden and ansley walking through the "pumkin patch", even though there weren't many pumkins left (note to self: go at the beginning of october instead of the last weekend before halloween). ansley loved the farm animals and even "mooed" at the baby cow. my favorite picture of the day was braden and ansley holding hands walking through the field. braden is such a big brother and i just love watching them grow closer to each other everyday. as you can tell, it was a warm day so braden wanted to wear shorts (wanted to keep him happy). i just love this time of year! here are some pictures from our wonderful day at the pumkin patch. enjoy.

9 wonderful years

Today, October 21st, is our 9th anniversary. It's really hard to believe it has already been 9 years. I can hardly remember my life without Brit. We met October 30, 1998 and I knew the 3rd time I saw him, I would be his wife one day. Our journey together has had quite a few significant trials -- the death of my beloved Aunt, the death of my Papaw, the death of Grandma Dunning, my hearing loss, our miscarriage, and Caleb & Samuel's heartbreaking birth and passing. I can say with much confidence in the world, there is no other person with whom I would rather heartbreaks and joys of life.

This picture was taken on our wonderful honeymoon in Hawaii. I will never forget that trip as long as I live. We had the most fabulous time there. Hopefully, we will be able to enjoy another trip there someday.

Brit is the most wonderful husband and father in the whole wide world. I am so blessed to have him in my life forever. I love you so much Britain William Pierce!!!

My sweet 1 year old

i realized i have not posted ansley's 1 year stats. she just turned 13 months and is doing so good. at her 1 year appointment she was 31.5 inches and weighed 21.5 lbs. i think she has grown another inch (at least) and i weighed her yesterday and she is now 22.5 lbs. she is growing like a weed. i can't believe she is in the 90% for height. she was definitely meant to be in our family. she is the sweetest little girl ever. she is so happy and loving. she is walking (and running) all over this house. she chased me around the kitchen island the other day and we probably went around it 30 times. we are so blessed to have her in our family, God has been so good to us this past year. i love this girl so much! i can't wait to see what this year brings to her.
