Braden has been wanting us to teach him how to read numbers...well, he just read this number all by himself! It blew me away. He has always been good with numbers but this is crazy. We shall see what the future holds for him but I think it will involve numbers!! What do you think?

Braden's 1st NFL game

November 8, 2009
Falcons vs. Redskins
31-17 final score
As some of you know, Braden has become the BIGGEST football fan. He has an obession!! He watches college football on Saturday and the NFL on Sunday. He wants us to tape games for him when he has to go to bed. So, he finally got to go. Braden had his first tailgate experience with daddy, nana, pop and good friends Ron and Lynda Asby. He had been talking about it all weekend and was so excited to go. They grilled steak and shrimp (shrimp is Braden's favorite food) and played some football in the parking lot. He was smiling ear to ear when theyhe got inside the stadium. He couldn't believe he would be able to watch the Falcons live.
I think everyone was blown away at how much Braden knew about the game. He followed every play and would say, "it's now 2nd and 4". He didn't need any help, he knew it all. The first half was very exciting with the Falcons winning by 24 points. After the half, Braden's energy slowly went away because the Falcons didn't have the ball most of the 3rd quarter. At one point, Braden said to daddy "can we go home and relax on the couch". It was a very long day for the little man but he absolutely loved it. I am so glad he was able to experience it!! Now we just need to take him to a Georgia game!!

God's purpose...

"...the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us." - Romans 8:18

God can take the worst life brings and turn it into something good if you'll put your trust in Him. He's in the business of turning chaos into a masterpiece when we turn our life over to Him.

My Angels in heaven

I came across this poem today and it really spoke to me. I think about Caleb and Samuel EVERY single day. This poem says it all...

An Angel Never Dies

Don’t let them say I wasn’t born,
That something stopped my heart
I felt each tender squeeze you gave,
I’ve loved you from the start.

Although my body you can’t hold
It doesn’t mean I’m gone
This world was worthy, not of me
God chose that I move on.

I know the pain that drowns your soul,
What you are forced to face
You have my word, I’ll fill your arms,
Someday we will embrace.

You’ll hear that it was meant to be,
God doesn’t make mistakes
But that wont soften your worst blow,
Or make your heart not ache.

I’m watching over all you do,
Another child you’ll bear
Believe me when I say to you,
That I am always there.

There will come a time, I promise you,
When you will hold my hand,
Stroke my face and kiss my lips
And then you’ll understand.

Although I’ve never breathed your air,
Or gazed into your eyes
That doesn’t mean I never was,
An Angel never dies.
